According to the Los Angeles Times, a TSA worker at a Las Vegas airport confiscated a cupcake from a woman simply because the frosting was a security threat. When the woman was stopped for the infringement, she offered to put the cupcake in a plastic baggie, however the TSA had no problem with the glass jar containing the cupcake, but they did have a problem with the frosting on the cupcake. The TSA has strict regulations on the amount of gel-like substances allowed to be carried on airplanes. Apparently, the frosting on the cupcake was classified as
a gel-like substance and did not comply with TSA regulations. TSA blogger Bob Burns wrote "I wanted to make it clear that this wasn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill cupcake." Burns justified the confiscation of the cupcake by saying that such discreet containers should be searched more carefully. Burns also mentioned two attempted aircraft bombings involving liquid explosives as another justification for confiscating the cupcake. This is another violation of the Constitution by these criminals called the TSA. Just look at the things that the TSA regulates! The
TSA can regulate how much toothpaste and shampoo we can take aboard an aircraft! We need to stand up for our rights and show these people that we will not put up with them anymore! Any politician or civil servant who violates our Constitution must be punished! Ever since we won our independence from Britain we have had to be vigilant and protect our liberties. Frankly, we are doing a very poor job of protecting our liberties and many of us have betrayed what our Founding Fathers stood for. We are the ones who decide our nation's future and if our nation
remains in its current state, we have a dark future ahead of us.
